Easy Rider

Check out my dad with our great neighbor, Ms. Kate!!! He gave her a ride on his new motorcycle. She is 72 years old!!! Dad sure does get all the ladies with his new bike. haha.

Bumbo Seat :)

Boy am I sure loving my Bumbo Seat from Brett and Leslie Nelson. :) My neck is getting so strong that I can sit in it now for about 5 minutes! Mommy took some cool photos of me the other day in it. I actually grabbed for my doll on my own!!! I was pretty mesmerized by it. Yay!

Visit to Great Grandmother

Today Mommy and I went to visit my great grandmother, Ida Gooding at Sunrise. She is 90 years old. She was so happy to see me. :) Although she can't remember who I am or who Mommy is, she still enjoys the company and loves babies! Here are some pictures of us.

3 months old!

Well on 8/26/07 I turned 3 months old. I am getting so big. I am starting to enjoy tummy time a lot, as well as playing under my arch mat and laying on my back to look at toys. I have also started sitting for brief periods of time in my Bumbo seat, which I love. Here are some shots of me playing on my 3 month birthday. :)

Thumbs!!!

You won't believe what I discovered this week...my thumb!! Mom couldn't understand why I was suddenly sleeping for longer periods. (I slept through the night for 2 straight nights...although I can't seem to keep that record going every night yet!) Low and behold I have started enjoying sucking on my thumb. Apparently it is just the self-soothing I needed. Mom says I look pretty cute when she finds me with it in my mouth. I don't seem to like it anywhere but my crib. Maybe one day I will figure out that I can fold my other fingers in, rather than have them right on my face. :)

My First Barrette

Yes, that is a blue butterfly barrette in my hair....and yes, now that you ask...it does match the blue butterflies on my shirt. Too bad this barrette only stayed in for about 2 minutes. My hair is still thin on top and cannot sustain an all day barrette. haha!

My First Supper Club

Last night I got to go to my first Supper Club at Auntie Dorothy's house! I loved it. All of Mommy's friends wanted to hold and love on me. :) Mom had so much fun and ate great food! Here are a few pics from the night.

Cousin Extravaganza!

Boy did I have a fun day on Thursday! Both of my cousins came to visit me! Both Jacob and Nicholas found me very interesting and kept trying to touch me! My aunts and uncles came too, which was so fun because they always make me laugh and like to hold me. Here are some pics from the event!

I'm a model

I got my first professional pictures taken on 8/14/07 at Portrait Innovations. They took 79 total pictures! Boy was it hard for mom to decide on which pics to order...I looked so cute in all of them! Thank goodness we had Grandma Maggie with us to help decide. :) Here are a few of my shots. Enjoy!

Becky's Bridal Shower

Today I got to go to my first bridal shower! Mommy is in Becky Graves' (soon to be Rebecca Powell!) wedding in November! Mommy and Becky went to high school together. Mommy also got to see Chandi Long and Tracie Miller (soon to be Meerholz). Everyone had so much fun holding me and I was such a good girl. I loved watching Becky open her presents. Mommy had so much fun seeing all her great girlfriends!

Pool time!

On Saturday Mommy and Daddy finally took me to the pool in our neighborhood! It was such a pretty day outside. We found a great spot in the shade. Mom and Dad even dipped my feet in the water at the pool! I didn't mind it at all. I can't wait til I'm 6 months old and allowed to wear sunscreen, so that I can go swimming longer. I can't wait for Thursday...my cousins and aunts and uncles are coming to visit and we're all going to go to the pool again! Hope you enjoy the photos!

Quick Update

Hey Everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that things have been going great! It's been a bit busy lately. Mom started back at work this week (just 1.5 shifts). I missed her, but I got to hang out with dad for one of the shifts and with Grandma Maggie for the other. I'm glad Mommy doesn't have to work again until 8/25/07. I have a busy weekend coming up and Mommy says she promises to post some new pics after this weekend!

My trip to South Carolina

Well I just got back into town after visiting my grandparents in South Carolina. I got to meet so many relatives while I was there! It was so much fun. The coolest was that I got to meet my great great grandmother...not too many people have one of those! Her name is Granny and she is 95 years old! I did great in the car rides and was such a good girl on my trip. :) Mom and Dad got to go see two movies while they were in SC!! They had fun on their dates. :) Here is a slide show of my great trip!
